BRUCE WRIGHT

Bruce was at Bolton School from 1976-1983. He was a first-team footballer and cricketer and was the School Vice-Captain in his final year.

After gaining a degree from University College London, he trained with Arthur Young (now part of EY) and then worked with Diageo and United Biscuits.

In London, Bruce played football with Strollers FC alongside other Old Bolts like Gary Rowson, Dick Jenkins, Paul and Nick Worsley, Rich Sharples and Andrew Sculthorpe.

He was an avid BWFC fan and, in recent seasons, he travelled from his home in Buckinghamshire to most matches.

Bruce leaves three school-age boys. He died after a short battle with cancer.
