Below is a brief description of our procedures. We expect all our players to respect the laws of the game and to take responsibility for their actions. The club reserves the right to withdraw the playing registration of any player who does not play in the spirit of the game.

This page does not give full details of the LAL or LFA disciplinary code, but instead acts as a guide for players who have been cautioned or sent off during a game.

Following a caution or sending-off the LFA contact the club and require the following information to be returned together with the acceptance and payment of the necessary fine.

Bookings

The OBAFC committee have decided that all bookings, which cannot be appealed nor require a player's signature, are to be paid for by the club and the fine collected from the player no later than the second Saturday after the fine was received. After this period, a player cannot be selected to play for the club whilst fines are outstanding.

Sending Offs

Since all players have the right of appeal against a sending-off the LFA require a signature on the form. Therefore the Club Secretary will contact the player and send him the forms which must be returned to the LFA together with the necessary documentation and payment of the fine/administration charge. Should these not be returned to the LFA within 14 days of the fine being issued the LFA will impose an additional £20.00 fine which must be paid by the player. At this point a player cannot be selected to play for the club whilst fines are outstanding.

Suspensions and fines are dependent on the nature of the offence. The LAL monitor all cautions and suspensions and will act accordingly should it be necessary.
