Please note that from 2011/12 we are following the new Match Based Discipline system (which means that suspensions are for a number of GAMES rather than DAYS. Suspensions start 21 days after the offence.
Below is a brief description of our own procedures. We expect all our players to respect the laws of the game and to take responsibility for their actions. The club reserves the right to withdraw the playing registration of any player who does not play in the spirit of the game.
IT IS HIGHLY IMPORTANT THAT ALL PLAYERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR LETTING THE CLUB SECRETARY KNOW IF THEY HAVE BEEN SENT OFF AND NOT RECEIVED PAPERWORK.
Following a caution or sending-off the LFA contact the club and require the following information to be returned together with the acceptance and payment of the necessary fine.
Player's Name
Player's Address
Player's Date of Birth
Other teams the Player plays for
It is therefore important that players keep the Club Secretary informed of any change of details.
Bookings
The OBAFC committee have decided that all bookings, which cannot be appealed nor require a player's signature, are to be paid for by the club and the fine collected from the player no later than the third Saturday after the fine was received. After this period, a player cannot be selected to play for the club whilst fines are outstanding.
Bookings currently attract a fine of £10.50 (made up of £10.00 to the LFA and 50p admin charge)
Cheques should be sent immediately to and made payable to Jon Twist, alternatively payment can be made by cash or by Paypal jontwist@totalise.co.uk
Sending Offs
The Club Secretary will contact the player and send him the forms which must be returned to the LFA together with the necessary documentation and payment of the fine/administration charge. Should these not be returned to the LFA within 7 days of the fine being issued the LFA will impose an additional £25.00 fine which must be paid by the player. At this point a player cannot be selected to play for the club whilst fines are outstanding.
Suspensions and fines are dependent on the nature of the offence.
