Old Mancunians 0 Old Bolts B 0
In the surreal world that Ron Manager lives in, this frustrating and disappointing performance would have guaranteed the last game on Match of the day status!
Disjointed passing and poor finishing left the Bolts wondering not only how they dropped two valuable points but moreover how they can play such fluent football some days then turn out performances like this.
The pitch unquestionably played its part with the grass a ridiculous length that it prevented any fluent football. “It might be the same for both teams but the Bolts simply don’t do long grass” grunted Ron
It may have been the absence of the Brooks in midfield and the wily old general Milne who failed to make an impact when he came on for the last 15 minutes.
But in the end, too many fluffed chances by Wild, Morris and Beardsworth cost the Bolts dearly. On a positive note though, the Bolts defence was excellently organised once again so a trip to the shooting gallery is all that’s needed next week.
Mopsey Morris will be wasting his time if he fancies visiting a brothel on this performance!
