Old Bolts B 0 Tottington Reserves 7

The B team suffered a humiliating defeat against a bunch of ringers and foul mouthed juveniles at Turton.

Bottom of the league Tottington fielded a side that were clearly not the team that the B team thrashed 7-4 just four weeks ago but that is not taking anything away from some great finishing by the opponents and a poor performance by the B team.

Two kamikaze defensive blunders by the Bolts gave Tottington a flattering lead by halftime and the Bolts simply had to curse so many squandered goal scoring opportunities, Beardsworth and leading goalscorer Brookes being found guilty of "Barn Door” misses.

Ron Manager shuffled the pack at halftime but when Tottington scored the third just after halftime, the Bolts lost the plot from thereon.

No complaints and a game to forget, it's back to the drawing board for the next game in two weeks against teams higher in the league-and on this performance it"s going to be an ugly finish to what up to last night has been an excellent season!
