Old Boltonians A 0 - 7 Old Blackburnians B

After losing 4-0 away to a strong Old Blacks side the previous week, the A-Team were ready and raring for this rematch and were bidding to give a better account of themselves.

Starting with an experimental line up (4-5-1) we were chasing shadows in the first half with Old Blacks capitalising on some Old Bolts hesitancy and some pure good luck.

Come half time, we were 5-0 down and staring down the barrel of being on the wrong side of a cricket score.

Things were restored to order when we reverted to good old fashioned 4-4-2 and everything seemed to click back into place.  After a strong start to the second half Old Bolts were unlucky not to at least get on the score sheet.  Old Blacks managed to add a further two goals to their already impressive tally finsihing the game with seven.

Although we played some good football over the two legs we have to conceed that we were taught a footballing lesson by a team who can control a game, play some good football and finish their chances (as the score line suggests!).

Roll on next week.  The A-Team has something to prove.
