Horwich Victoria 2 Old Bolts 2

In the first half each team cancelled each other out with only a couple of chances for each team and some poor finishing, especially Horwich's striker who somehow missed from 4 yards out. When John Collings started to wake up from his Friday night session with some Polish lads, we could start feeding the ball through to him. A couple of chances went begging for Bolts, with us trying out new system of a 4-5-1 it was Ben Moores and Wes Wright causing the problems on the wing, and with Neash, Tom and James the middle 3 were looking good in midfield.

Half time 0-0!

Second half Horwich came at us alot stronger and showed why they were near the top of the league. With 2 very quick goals after the kick off, It looked like Old Bolts were still having our water and team talk. We pulled ourselves together and started to pass the ball around like we were in the first half. with a corner and 15 minutes to go we went to get ourselves a goal and nearly pushed everyone in the box, the corner was swung in to the back post where James Gray was there to head home his first for the club. 2 minutes after we had another corner and this was a replicar of the first with Vinny Hulton crossing the ball and James once again at the far post to head down but this time there defender cleared off the line.

With time counting down Wes Wright went on a little run and smashed the ball towards there goal, there keeper should of easily grabbed the ball out the air but this slipped through his fingers and Bolts were back in it 2-2!

This was a great result in the end against a good team in which a draw was well deserved.
