Astley Bridge 2 - Old Bolts Res 2
We could not pass, control, defend never mind shoot at there goal. Neash stayed with the same formation which worked well last week, but this time it was a shambles!!!. Once again Bolts were found themselves behind with an uphill task ahead.
Half time Bolts 2-0 Down!!
This was a very different Bolts in the second half, some how we could pass, control and were shooting from almost every angle. The goal was going to come, and it was Wes Wright who picked up the ball and went on another run, missed placed his pass and this fell kindly to Paul Turnbull who by the way did absolutely nothing all game but to score this goal. He ran off like a little kid doing his Bull impression, Those who turn up at training should ask him to demonstrate. Bolts were now on top of this game with everyone looking comfy and always wanting the ball. With 5 minutes to go and Astley Bridge hanging on, Chris Neasham swung the ball in from the right wing perfectly for Paul Turnbull to head home for his second goal & touch of the match. Bolts nearly conceded in the last minute with there striker clean through only for Mark Thomasson to do a Chris Neasham tackle and send him into next week.
If it wasn't for Chris Hulton being just at the side of them, im show Mark would have seen red.
A great second half, but please lads lets not go 2-0 down again.
