Howe Bridge Mills 3 - Old Bolts Res 1
The 1st half seemed to be a fair game with both looking to go in at half time 0-0, Howe Bridge Mills got a corner about 2 minutes before the break and their player had a free header which went flying in to the net!
Half time Bolts 1-0 down!
The second half started with Howe Bridge on the attack and nearly scored from kick-off that was a wake up for Bolts and we did just that. We played some nice football in some parts but our final ball was letting us down with John Collings not touching the ball in the second half.
Howe Bridge's second goal came from a cross and their striker free to head home 2-0.
This called for Neash to make a couple of subs, how ever another cross came in Andy Hibbert tried to clear and it went straight to there striker for a tap in 3-0.
With 10 minutes to go Neash change the system going from a 4-4-2 to a 3-5-2 this was working well but time running out then Neash hit a 25 yard lob with his LEFT foot and dipped over the keeper. 3-1. We thought we could get at least a draw from here with Howe Bridge all over the place in the last 10 minutes but couldnt find a break through.
Lets hope we put in a better performance next week against Horwich Victoria
